Questions about documentation

Q: What is meant by sending/uploading certificates/degrees/language tests? Why do I need to provide those? Uploading documents means you have to scan your documents and send them to us through the Internet. This documentation will be necessary for you, to prove that you are qualified for a certain level of study that you are applying for. For example: Should you wish to apply for an MSc study, you need to show that you have a BSc diploma. Should you wish to apply for a PhD, then you have to show that you have an MSc diploma and also have the course records of the studies that you followed. Please note that it is not possible for us to take action in requesting your documents from any university. Persons in all mobility groups to Europe and to India may upload recommendation letters from the home university. Those who do NOT have rec. letters are requested to upload a document saying that they are not submitting recommendation letter, otherwise their application will be incomplete.

Q: What do you mean by Course Record, Diploma, Transcripts etc? Please check the Definitions.

Q: I have problems uploading my documents. What can I do? Make sure the files are smaller than 3 Mb and in JPG, PNG or PDF format. No Word documents can be uploaded. Also, make sure to upload only black/white files.

Q: What proof of language proficiency do I have to submit? It depends on the host university/ies you choose. Therefore, you should contact the host university beforehand and check their requirements. Post-Doctoral candidates and academic staff may upload a letter certifying language skills.

Q: What is proof of registration? A proof of registration is an official certified document showing that you are currently registered at one of the partner universities.

Q: I haven't got the TOELF/IELTS score. What can I do? If you can't take the TOEFL/IELTS exam before the deadline, we ask you to upload proof of your registration for the exam. When you register for the TOEFL/IELTS exam you will receive a paper stating the date of your appointement for the exam. This is sufficient for application. Once you get selected, we will ask you to send us your TOEFL/IELTS scores. Please check with the university of your choice first whether they require a TOEFL/IELTS. Every university has its own policy concerning language requirements.

Q: I haven't got a valid passport. What can I do? If you can't get a passport before the deadline, we ask you to upload a copy of your birth certificate. This is sufficient for application. Once you get selected, we will ask you to send us your passport details.
